We have a google business page with our hours… Look up Pomegranate Place Ltd. ….it feels more and more real each day.
Still stocking our shelves and working out kinks before our grand opening..

A little sneak peak of our shop!
I am so thankful to my Father for this miracle!
Come in and see us! We would love to chat a little!
I am so happy to be venturing into a new fabric line..
We recently met a designer from Walnut Creek California, Jennifer Moore, of Monaluna Fabric..
She draws fun things and interesting modern florals and then they are printed onto Global Organic Textile Standard, GOTS fabrics without formaldehyde in the dyes..
The thing that drew me to her fabrics was the cheerful, simple prints, and colorways…So, we purchased some and started designing..We are happy to share them with you also! They are available at ..
They are made under higher standards than our designer quilting cotton and therefore the price is reflective of that..they have a beautiful hand feel..Enjoy!
Haven collection..
Havana collection..pink colorway…
Havana collection..blue colorway..
These are just a sampling of her work..We hope in the future to continue carrying her upcoming collections..
Here are a couple things we have made
Looking forward…
Thursday May 15, we were privileged to be able to go to the spring International Quilt Market in Pittsburgh..Some of the privilege was in the fact that we were able to get away…
Some of the privilege was we had the finances to do so…
Some of the privilege was in traveling with my two oldest daughters..we work together…but this was going to be a vacation!!!
Pittsburgh was daunting…We did great, because the Lord was with us, and because Mama grew up in the city..I mean down in the city 🙂
Quilt Market was held in the David L Lawrence Convention Center…It was on the shores of the Monongahela River. Which was almost at flood stage..It just rained and rained!!
We saw such beautiful, colorful, artistic booths! It was as colorful and gorgeous inside as it was rainy and glum outside!!
There were all kinds of suppliers for the industry, and we don’t really quilt yet 🙂 we just sew and sell our fabrics…but oh, the quilts…amazing talent..
And the exhibitors, the people were friendly, and helpful…and it was nice to just talk shop and we met people who were skilled in areas that we needed help..Then there was the trim man from Texas..he was our first stop..we like trims for our clothing!!! He was a dear man and he smiled and waved at these country bumpkins every time we passed!
There was a security guard who helped us almost every day…he called the convention center parking deck “my deck”, “my lobby”, “my building”…Oh we were just blessed by the people we met..Some we didn’t even get names..but we got smiles, laughs, and acceptance…I say acceptance because we are just a tiny business in the big pond of businesses that were represented there..
One fabric house we spoke with..I said, “we can’t order much because we’re just small” and one of the owners said…”we were small once too”..That was magnanimous of them!
We did order a lot of fabric..Some for designing..Some for our fabric store because we just thought it was beautiful, or fun, or would make something beautiful..The fabric below is organic..we got some lovely prints from this designer..they aren’t the ones shown..these aren’t out yet..But she drew all the pictures for her fabrics..very nice girl..I can say girl..she is a lady, but I am her senior by 20 years 🙂
We learned a lot, we are still processing..But we hope to make good use of all we learned and to improve upon it and be good stewards of the time that my dear family gave us to go, and the Lord protected us, and helped us, and I hope we were a blessing to those we met as well…
Got some of this grey ruffle lace..going to make something from it!
Thankful!
So many beautiful fabrics out there! We just got in this partial collection from Rachel Ashwell..Shabby Chic..This collection is called
Ballet Rose..We are looking forward to blending some of the soft pinks and blues always one of our favorites..
These are available for purchase at our fabric shop on Etsy…
Enjoy!
Just want our fabric friends to know that we are having a Thanksgiving sale in our Etsy fabric shop…
Every fabric is 15% off our price, which is normally at least 10% below retail.
We are running this sale through midnight on Cyber Monday…
Hope some of you can stop by and take advantage of some of the lovely high quality designer fabrics we have!
We are thankful for our customers and how the Lord has blessed our business this year.
Wishing you and your families and friends a Happy Thanksgiving!
We have been getting fabric in steadily here and I have been lax in letting all know about it!!
This is High Street by Moda Fabrics…It is bright and cheery! Great for Fall and Winter and I see kitchen and home decor out of it!!..
Next is one of my Christmas fabrics, I like that it can be wintery and not just Christmas!! It is Aspen Frost, by Basic Grey for Moda Fabrics..we have more colors..Visit our online fabric shop at http://www.pomegranateplace.etsy.com
This is Billet Doux by Verna Mosquera for Free Spirit Fabrics..We were just wowed by the paisley and got the grey to coordinate and the pink floral is just sweet for little girls! We saw the Paisley as a beautiful Christmas print, or winter.
This lovely deep red collection is called mid-winter reds by Minnick and Simpson for Moda fabrics..It is traditional and we have some matching wovens that will be coming soon. They shipped separately…I’m really liking these traditional reds! So many ideas for these!
The last shipment contained 24 prints, the entire collection of Sunshine Roses by Tanya Whelan, one of our favorite designers from Free Spirit Fabrics..She usually does something with roses and we are hopelessly drawn to roses, checks, damasks and polka dots! I guess we are a little romantic in our tastes!
There are 3 colorways light sagey green..
Stop by our fabric shop on Etsy, or just click the pictures if you would like to see more of one of these particular prints…I know I am getting a little overboard when I look at fabric and it looks yummy to me 🙂
Beauty is a gift from God, and I’m so thankful for all the designers out there who make such beautiful prints! Then the seamstresses, quilters, and crafters who make beautiful creations out of them!
Enjoy and Have a Blessed day!
We have been sewing quite a bit lately..
Thankfully it is summer and we are off of school til the end of this month!
We designed a fall collection, sewed it up and had to send it to the photographer.
We got to go to a fabric show in “Amish Country” here in Ohio.
Here are some things we’ve been making…
This is our full, Sweet Vintage collection…12 pieces..
The back row…
This is the Sparrow tunic and the Sweet Vintage double ruffle skirt. Kimberly Van Sistine in Wisconsin, took pictures of this collection for us. We just can’t get pictures like this! We are so thankful for her help!
A note for seamstresses, sewers, and crafters…
If you like any fabrics you see on our blog or our website we do offer most of them for sale in our Etsy shop … Pomegranate Place..
Here are some fabrics we have gotten in this past month..
These are lovely, shabby chic roses and florals with a purple colorway and a dove gray colorway
These have a pink colorway and some green..
The girls and I are just wanting to get our hands on these fabrics and create some things, we are working on orders right now, so we have to practice self control 🙂
This fabric is wonderful to the touch, it will be a dream to work with 🙂
Harvest and canning happening here too. More on that another time.
