Sewing, sewing, sewing …

21 Apr

This week has been incredible!

Just when I thought I was just too tired and needed a break, I kept going!

I am thankful for the grace God gave for this week.  Our neighbor ordered 18 dresses for her daughters.  We had two little photo shoots.  And I’m a mommy of many so regular life has to go on too!  God has been close this week.

I am also thankful for His forgiveness and my children’s forgiveness when I got overwhelmed and blew it with my tongue!

I think, so you accomplished all these tasks, how nice and sweet were you through them???

Are the tasks worth it?  Do I just chuck them and spend all my time being sweet to my children?  Or do I learn through these glaring mistakes and ask God and the children for forgiveness and try again.  And not just try again but realize the sovereignty of God, and see that He allowed these orders to come and He can provide the strength, energy, and calm working pace to accomplish them?

Looking at the pictures, we really had some fun moments!  It is special to see the work of your hands come to life!  It is a gift.

I’m so glad the Father shows us our weaknesses and then gives us His forgiveness and strength!  Unto Him, His Son, and His Spirit, belong all the glory, honor, and praise.  He alone is worthy.

  1. Ecclesiastes 2:24
There is nothing better for a manthan that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.

  2. Ecclesiastes 3:22
Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall beafter him?

I agree!! 🙂

Now for day of rest!

Peasant Dresses!…

14 Jun

I love peasant dresses!  For us, it covers our shoulders, keeps the sun off, and you don’t have to find a shirt to match.  Just slip it over your head and you’re off!

These dresses were made for my neighbor, she wanted that easy on- off for her two little girls.  She ordered 16 dresses, 8 each.  She gave us the freedom to pick fabric and colors, she just wanted her girls to have some play dresses this summer.  My  girls and I cut them out on Thursday, sewed them on Friday, and clipped the threads on Saturday.  Whew! It was fun seeing them come together!  It is so wonderful to finish a project.

Don’t worry if you count them and don’t get 16, she took a couple with her, I asked her to leave the rest so I could get this picture 🙂
